Strike and Reaper

Is it possible to record directly into the Reaper timeline, rather than first record in Strike, and then export it?

  • You can record the Strike audio output directly from Strike into the Reaper timeline. Just right-click on the red "Record Armed" button on your selected track. Scroll down to "Record: output" and you will see a number of choices available.

Reaper can also record MIDI pattern output, but only if the plugin supports MIDI output.

Strike doesn't seem to offer MIDI out. I have tested it with a couple of DAWs, including Reaper.

From my experiences, few plugins offer MIDI out. I don't have any drum plugs that do this. But some chorders and arpeggiators such as Cthulhu can do this.

    Hope this helped!
